I really enjoyed visiting Peacock Academy in Wayne, NJ for an author reading of Bajette’s Balloon. From the moment I arrived, it was clear I was welcomed because social-emotional learning, empathy, and kindness are at the core of their curriculum and foundation for student growth. I found the teachers to be uniquely engaged with the students and they truly understood each one. They acted as a team with the students as opposed to lecturing and reprimanding them. What stood out most to me was how naturally social-emotional learning is woven into everything they do—not just in lessons, but in how they engage with the kids and one another. The openness to the story and its message created a meaningful connection. I’m grateful to have had the chance to share this story with such an engaged and thoughtful community. Thank you again for having me!

We couldn’t be more grateful for the care and support our son has received at Peacock Learning Academy. From the very beginning, it was clear that this is a place where children are truly nurtured, not just watched. The staff treats him with such warmth and patience, and it’s been incredible to see how much he has grown in their care—emotionally, socially, and developmentally. Every day, he comes home happy and excited to go back, and as parents, that peace of mind is invaluable. We’ve watched him blossom, hitting milestones and making connections we weren’t sure were possible so soon. The love and dedication from the team here have made all the difference. Thank you for creating such a special environment where our child feels safe, encouraged, and loved.

Beautiful brand new facility…it’s really nice to see a center where the owners just care so much not just about the kids but also about the teachers. You can tell every detail was incredibly thought out.

After a disappointing experience with a large chain daycare for our first daughter, we were determined to find a better option for our youngest. Peacock has exceeded my very high expectations! The teachers are exceptional—caring, kind, and compassionate, always speaking to the children with respect. Even passing through the hallways, I’m consistently impressed by the warmth and child-friendly approach in every interaction I overhear. As a parent, I was nervous about returning to work and leaving my 6-month-old, but Sejal and her teachers have put me completely at ease. Her teachers, Miss Darleen and Miss Luz, are baby whisperers. Our daughter lights up every morning when she sees their faces. They treat her like family, providing impeccable care that gives me total peace of mind. We couldn’t be happier with our choice.

Our son started at Peacock Learning Academy in January after attending a different daycare, and the difference has been nothing short of incredible. From day one, he stopped crying at drop-off and now runs into school each morning with joy and excitement. That alone speaks volumes. When he began, he was a bit behind in his speech, and we were naturally concerned, and brought it to the attention of his teacher. Not only did Mr.Peter listen to my concerns but he also pulled the owner in to help reassure us even more that they are willing to aide in possibly getting him early intervention! Although we didn’t need the services, it was amazing to see their commitment to our son and his future. Since joining Peacock, he has made remarkable progress and ended up not qualifying because he —not just with speech, but also in his fine motor skills and social-emotional development. The nurturing environment and thoughtful curriculum have clearly made a tremendous impact. Mr. Peter, his teacher, is truly one of a kind—patient, loving, and so attentive to each child’s needs. We are so grateful for the way he connects with and supports our son. And Sajeal, the owner, is an incredible presence. She is always there, engaged, and deeply knowledgeable about early childhood development. Her hands-on leadership and the way she treats every family like her own make this place feel like a second home. Seeing her interact daily with both staff, students and families shows how much she values connection and community. We could go on and on, but in short: enrolling our son at Peacock Learning Academy was one of the best decisions we’ve made as parents. If you’re looking for a place where your child will be nurtured, supported, and truly thrive, look no further!!

I don't agree with the negative review and am sad it is even on here. Keep in mind- two sides to every story. Do NOT let that dissaude you from touring this beautiful facility and seeing for yourself. Anywho... Peacock is the best thing to happen to our family. Both of my children have the pleasure of attending and I have nothing but good things to say. Sajel and her team are SPOT ON with education, knowledge, and helping children reach their truest potential. I actually love the curriculum and how the whole center is structured. My toddler's language and communication has improved tremendously and my 4 year old already knows how to spell and identify numerous letters and numbers. Everyone here loves what they do and it truly shows.

My 3-year-old niece has been attending Peacock Academy, and I’ve already seen her flourish and grow. This is her first time in daycare, and her transition has been seamless, thanks to the incredible owner and staff. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting the owner myself and immediately felt a warm, welcoming vibe. Highly recommend this wonderful place!

After leaving a different center I personally was very skeptical about working in childcare again since I've had a horrible experience with lack of support from the Leadership staff. From the very beginning, I felt welcomed and supported by a team that’s passionate about early childhood education and genuinely cares about each child’s development. The environment is warm, nurturing, and full of positive energy, making it a place I genuinely look forward to coming to each day. One of the biggest highlights has been working under the leadership of Sejal and alongside such an incredible staff. Sejal leads with heart, professionalism, and vision—always encouraging growth and creating a space where both the children and staff can flourish. The entire team is collaborative, caring, and always willing to lend a helping hand. It truly feels like a family here. Since joining the center, I’ve grown so much both professionally and personally. I’ve strengthened my classroom management skills, developed more creative and engaging lesson plans, and gained a deeper understanding of childrens development in all age groups. I’ve also built strong relationships with families and learned the importance of communication and trust in childcare. I’m incredibly grateful to be part of a team that values passion, growth, and excellence in early education. If you’re considering working here or enrolling your child I HIGHLY recommend Peacock Learning Academy. This is a place where not ONLY the students thrive but the teachers as well.

My daughter attended for one month. This was not the place for her and the owner, Sejal, made it clear she did not want her there. The first two weeks went okay but week three we got emails about how my daughter was not sharing, transitions were a problem that distracted the entire class (three other kids - one being Sejal’s daughter), and she and the teachers were not able to reengage her. My daughter was 2 and turned 3 the month she attended. We just kept being told that her behavior was far beyond typical for her age. Sejal also kept stressing how she had two masters degree and that I needed to bring my daughter to Wayne Township to get evaluated. When we tried to ask details of what happened we would get vague responses like we tried to get her to do something and she had a tantrum. They have cameras in the daycare but have it written in the contract that they will not show you the video. When we brought up why it was all of a sudden that we got the email and the reports when we picked her up daily were different, we started getting emails at 10:30am how she had behavior issues for that day. She then told us she couldn’t handle her and had until the end of the month unless we paid for our own full time aide for her so we said we would find a new daycare. Sejal told us our daughter would struggle at another daycare as well. Even though she knew she was leaving she kept sending emails about her behavior so we left earlier than the month end and rushed to find another daycare. This daycare, at some point, started giving my daughter’s class homework. While I want an enriching and educational environment for her, trying to implement a 1st grade classroom to 2-3 year olds is not how you bridge the gap between early child development and school age. My daughter has been at a new daycare for almost two months with more kids in her classroom, no issues, and with reports like she is playing with her friends; doing her work; and participating during circle time. The new daycare also has cameras and while they don’t send the footage out they are willing to have you come to the daycare and watch the video from the office (in the words of the new place - they have nothing to hide). I was very upfront and honest about things that my daughter struggled with like separation from me and her OT therapy. The best advice I can give about Peacock is this is more of a place where they are trying to hand pick a ‘gifted and talented program’ than a daycare that is looking to accept and foster the growth of children. Even if my daughter does have special needs, the way this was handled was not nurturing, warm, or caring by any means. My husband and I were willing to work with them to address any concerns and know our daughter is not an angel but we both felt as though we were not being told the whole story and after asking many questions we did not get any solid answers. Please follow your gut when it comes to this facility. If you feel like something is not adding up don’t try to work it out and just get your kid out. I wish I had followed mine.
